The Infant Jesus Homes & Children’s Centres (IJHCC) continues the mission of the Infant Jesus (IJ) Sisters by providing protection and care for children and elderly in need.
The year 2015 saw changes and expansion in which IJHCC has successfully adapted to the changing social landscape in Singapore by initiating respite care, a transitional shelter for girls aged 12 to 18 years. A second student care centre was set up in IJ Village in Ang Mo Kio, in addition to IJ Galilee.
While we pursued these initiatives, we continue caring for our elderly as the IJ Sisters have done since 1864.
We are constantly mindful of providing a holistic programme that ensures a positive development for children under our care, with emphasis on the teachings of social and life skills. In addition, we aspire to instill in our children IJ values such as humility, gratitude, kindness and mindfulness.
We are thankful and grateful to the various government agencies, schools, other Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs), donors, sponsors and volunteers in supporting the IJHCC in its mission.
We continue to remain humble in service as exemplified by our motto
“Simple in Virtue, Steadfast in Duty”.
