RESIDENT CAREGIVER
About this Role:
As a resident caregiver, to ensure the physical, psychological, emotional, social and spiritual well-being of the elderly ladies, who have been orphaned or abandoned to the Home in IJHCC, since they were babies.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the elderly’s toiletry needs throughout the day and in the night.
2. Cook and serve meals to the elderly.
3. Administer medication.
4. Engage the elderly in positive communication and activities.
5. Accompany the elderly for their regular medical consultations at the hospitals or polyclinics.
6. Accompany the elderly for regular church services or events organized by volunteers, schools or corporations.
7. General house cleaning.
8. Manage budget for household expenses, including marketing and transport.
$730 – $1,100
Meals and Lodging provided
Hours of Work – 12-hour shift with lunch/dinner and rest times included/ One day off a week
Reporting Structure :
This role reports to the P&S Manager.
Technical Competencies :
1. Nursing.

1. Ability to engage the elderly in a positive way.
2. Knowledge and understanding of the aging process.
3. Mediate in the relationships among the elderly.
4. Teamwork with fellow colleagues.
Preferred achievements / characteristics :
1. Experience in a residential home for the elderly.
2. Patience and acceptance of the elderly.
3. Resourcefulness in keeping the elderly positively engaged.

STUDENT MENTOR
IJHCC* Student Care Centres serve children and youth from diverse racial groups and religions. We provide after school care services that nurture and develop children in a holistic manner. About The Role:
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of primary school children in an after-school setting
• Create an environment where it is their home, away from home for the afternoon while their parents are at work.
• Inculcate IJ values of Truth, Justice, Freedom and Love
• Provide homework and life-skill supervision
• Plan and conduct social and recreational activities to nurture and develop students holistically -social, moral, emotional and intellectual aspects
• Handle administrative classroom management tasks
• Put together progress reports for the children
• Attend to parents enquiries where necessary
• Assist in implementing the program in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines, framework and philosophy of IJHCC
Reporting Structure :
This role reports to the Centres Manager.
Technical Competencies :
• Ability to coach, engage and communicate with primary school children, in an age-appropriate nurturing manner
• Primary School literacy skills in English, Mathematics and ideally, Chinese
• Class Management using positive discipline techniques at all times
Core Competencies :
• Nurturing and dedicated to the development and well-being of children
• Good communicator and able to build rapport
• Maintains a positive attitude
• Works well under pressure
• A team-player, who can align personal and corporate goals
• Mature, with objective to bring out the best in self and others
Qualifications
• GCE ‘A’ Level and above preferably, or Minimally GCE ‘O’ Level with equivalent years
of experience
• 1-2 years relevant experience preferred but we welcome mid-career switches as well

Working Hours
• Normal school term : 10am to 7pm
• School holidays : 7.30am to 4.30pm/ 10am to 7pm( Staggered Hours Roster)
